Qualifications:
- Must have a Coder License or a Certification (e.g., CRC, CPC, CCS, COC, CPT, HCPCS, ICD, DRG)
- At least 2 years of relevant experience
- Can work onsite
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Code Assignment: Accurately assign and sequence ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes based on medical records and documentation.
- Documentation Review: Analyze and interpret patient charts and clinical documentation to ensure appropriate coding.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and payer-specific regulations and guidelines.
- Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare providers and administrative staff to clarify diagnoses and obtain additional information for accurate coding

- Claims Management: Handle healthcare claim inquiries, verify insurance coverage, and investigate denied or rejected claims for resolution.
- Compliance: Ensure all claims adhere to federal, state, and payer-specific regulations, including HIPAA, Medicare, and Medicaid guidelines.
- Collaboration: Work closely with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and patients to resolve billing disputes and ensure timely reimbursements.
